Looking beyond piracy

It's not just a matter of downloading a material, I really buy them if I want it. I just can't accept that there are a lot of people who download things online without caring for the persons behind them. These are pieces of hard work molded by creative minds and skills. They also need to be rewarded the same way everyone asks for compensation on their jobs, or even just an errand. I don't know if I just understand them because of my entrepreneurial background, or is it just people nowadays are hard as stone?
